Stay On Our Farm

Enjoy your stay on the farm in this spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath bed & breakfast. Relax before the wood-burning stove or prepare a gourmet meal in the custom kitchen. The lake can be accessed 1/2 mile away or by walking through the woods. Guests may arrange the use of 2 kayaks. The patio has excellent views of the forest and pasture. A fire pit makes the evenings cozy. Be sure you visit the farm’s horses, cow, chickens, ducks, rabbits, sheep, goats & alpacas! Traveling with horses? Stalls with runs are available for daily board rate.

You have exclusive access to a private entry, three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a patio, and 2 bathrooms. There is a potential for sleeping up to 10 with a queen-sized bed and a futon in the master bedroom, a queen-sized bed in the second bedroom, and a third bedroom with 2 full-sized beds. Enjoy the romance of by-gone eras as you stay in the Iron Horse, the Classic Equestrian, or the Wild West rooms. Breakfast is included upon request.

Meet The Animals

Our friendly, well-trained farm animals are waiting for your visit.  Animals are housed in sturdy pens and may be petted and photographed by all ages of guests.  In most cases, children and adults may enter the pens and visit the animals up close.  For safety, larger animals (such as the cow and horse) are penned separately but may still be petted.  Our gentle farm animals include: goats, sheep, alpacas, a llama, a donkey, miniature horses, a cow, full-size horses, chickens, miniature ducks, and Angora rabbits. Depending on the time of year, lambs, kids (baby goats), chicks and ducklings may be available. The animals are used to people and have calm, quiet personalities.

Great location so close to Smithville Lake! Caught a ton of fish at Marina only 3 miles away. Loved the Animals, way more species than I expected. It is a crazy cool farm feel with really nice rooms, beds, and a bonus with a great breakfast. Julie was very kind allowing a late check out so my nephew could experience things a bit more. Only Air BnB I saw close to Smithville Lake!

This was the best experience I’ve had with an AirBNB. They were flexible when they had a wrench thrown in their plans and made sure we were taken care of. The place is close to the city but still far enough to be away from all the noise. The farm animals were the best part, especially the cats. I brought treats to befriend them since the host said they were shy. Overall, my group of friends and I will be saving this spot for future stays when traveling to KC.

Our stay at Julie and Mel’s place was fantastic! The atmosphere is so peaceful and comfortable. We had everything that we needed for our entire stay. I like that it is so close to Smithville lake and a quick drive into town. Every animal on their farm is so sweet. We really enjoyed our time there! I highly recommend this stay!

Awesome place! Very clean! Breakfast was provided and was delicious! Great host and very attentive! Grandma likes milk with her coffee and host went to the store to purchase! Beautiful home and felt very comfortable to relax and spend time with family. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back in the future.

Staying here was a wonderful choice! We loved the country atmosphere and all that Julie had to offer! Our kids loved the animals and exploring the properly!
